What is TrapCall?

TrapCall, offered by TelTech, is a spam call blocker app that you can use to “unmask” blocked or unknown callers. TrapCall’s basic unmasking service is free, and includes the option of blacklisting unwanted callers by phone number. It also allows you to listen to your voicemail over the web.

TrapCall Review: What it Does

Based on your Subscription Tier—Basic, Premium, or Ultimate— you’ll gain access to a combination of features.

Unmasking blocked caller IDs

Unmasking caller IDs is the core feature of TrapCall. It has the ability to reveal who is behind callers listed as Unknown, No Caller ID, Blocked, Restricted, etc. Here’s how it works:

  1. Download the TrapCall app on your Android or iPhone.
  2. Sign up and activate the service.
  3. When you receive a suspicious incoming call, decline the call you are receiving.
  4. TrapCall will work its magic and unmask the anonymous call!

Blacklist unwanted callers

After you’ve unmasked a blocked number that’s been calling you, you can add that number to your blacklist.

Once a number has been added to your blacklist, any future call from that number will be played a message that says, “The phone number you’re trying to reach has been disconnected or is no longer in service.” Then, TrapCall ends the call, preventing them from leaving you a harassing voicemail.

Automatically block spam calls

In addition to your personal blacklist, TrapCall also comes with a built-in blacklist of over 100,000+ spam numbers that will never ring on your phone when you enable Call Blocking permission in your phone.

Lookup unfamiliar numbers

If you need to find out additional info belonging to a number after they’ve called you or need to look up a number you’ve never received a call from, TrapCall can perform a reverse phone lookup and get the name, address, and photo that’s associated to the phone number.
