DUDEEEEeeeee – It’s awesome I thought it wasn’t going to work but it immediately turned all those spam calls into red lettered SPAM. I get spam called all day long at school ONLY AT SCHOOL I’ve literally never got spam called at home but at school I get so embarrassed when my ringtone goes off super loud in the middle of class one day it literally happened 3 TIMES i turn my ringer off but the stuff in my backpack shoves my phone all around and one time even ended up calling the cops on accident because of the side buttons. Working great now. Thanks for being responsive and correcting the problems. – This app has been great since I downloaded it in January 2019 and I frequently recommend it to others. It has reduced the number of Robocalls I received to almost zero, which is amazing. It did stop working for over a week due to some sort of bug with the most recent IOS update. I sent in a couple of reports to the app developers and they were responsive. It took a few days and I had to delete and reinstall the app a few times before it started working again, but so far things are back on track. This is a really important app for me because the multiple robocalls I received every day were stressing me out and wasting my time and energy. Best App – I love this app and thanks to its features I am not getting so many spam, and annoying calls. Even being on the Governments DoNot Call List does not stop these Telemarkerter’s and scammers as they change numbers so frequently. This app with a huge community reporting these behaviors at least gives a person a heads up before answering their phone. Now they have added a feature which you can buy if you have the need to that identifies the caller ID. Just not having my phone ring 20 times a day with these nonsense callers is finally giving me some peace. Scammers/crooks are always trying to find ways around these apps. and are changing their numbers frequently. They use computers and all kinds of methods to try to scam and steal from innocent hard-working people. This app does help to protect people from that but always beware not to give out personal information nor send money to anyone you don’t know. I tell them I buy nothing over the phone and to submit their information using the US Mail. In the two years I have had this app nothing ever came through the US mail. Amazing (and amusing) results! – I use my cellphone to completely run my day to day business operations. I’m always on the go, and my work truck is my mobile command center. I have an office, but I’m only there a very small portion of the day. I make my living out in the field. That being said, I have been getting 3-5 of these spammy calls every day. Every. Single. Day. Time is money and these jerks are wasting both my valuable time, and money I could be earning. I’m not buying what they’re selling, and I have work to do. I answer every call because clients and potential clients call my phone when they need help. I need to be available to help them.

It’s not only extremely helpful that this app filters out the garbage calls so I don’t have to deal with them (huge time saver), but the app also records the call and returns the favor to these idiots and wastes plenty of their time as well. It’s actually very entertaining to listen to the recordings later and realize that instead of wasting my time, they had their time wasted artfully. The ONLY way that they will stop is when they realize it is a complete waste of their time. You can ask them every day to remove your number from their list, and they never will. Instead you get auto dialed every day or several times a day and it gets very annoying.

Great app, when it works, but amazing support – I’ve had this app for probably close to 10 years now. I loved unblocking calls, I loved seeing the calls I got when my phone was dead or off, still being logged in the TrapCall app. Recently however, a voicemail issue developed with my carrier. I didn’t know about it for weeks. As soon as I found out callers are unable to leave messages I reached out to support. They immediately offered a fix, and actually fixed it themselves. Voicemail was restored. Then when I reactivated TrapCall I got the same issue again. I’m still in communication with the tech that’s been helping me out. I love this app and unfortunately, as per his advice, we have to deactivate TrapCall. They offered a refund for the last few months, and prompt responses and working closely with me, fixing my issue themselves on their end instead of me trying to figure it out and troubleshoot myself. I’m hoping they find a fix ASAP so I can reactivate TrapCall on my phone and start using it again without it impacting my voicemail.

Great company with great products and support – I’ve been a YouMail member since 2007. Back then the product was mostly a smart way to replace my carrier voicemail. Simple things like customized greetings for my contacts, and “out of service” messages for robocalls have been at the core of YouMail from the beginning. Those are still great features. Now, I use it for so much more. YouMail offers a robust collection of features with my new Professional plan. I was able to add an extra line to my phone, and stop paying for a land line. I saved a ton of money and they let me port my number in. Now i can receive texts too. With my professional plan, I now have a virtual attendant. Callers are greeted with their name, given a few options to speak to someone right away, and then if they still leave a voicemail- it’s transcribed and sent to my email. These are big features for a small app, and the price is just right. It costs me less than the price of the landline to have all those features. Plus, the few times I’ve needed customer support I was able to talk to a knowledgeable representative who had the skill set to fix the issues, or find someone who could. YouMail feels like a small company with commitment. After 12 years, all my services are now in one app – intelligent voicemail, voice-to-text, auto attendant, conference calling, robocall blocking, extra line, and one bill. I’m a very happy customer.

Awesome tool for screening – I LOVE this app!!! I don’t know how, but for some reason in the past few months I suddenly began receiving dozens and dozens of robocalls and telemarketing calls. Must have inadvertently disclosed my number on the wrong form. What REALLY annoyed me about it was that I am and have been on the National Do Not Call registry, which makes this contact illegal. However, because of my job I do often receive calls from unknown numbers, so I often pick up. I was so annoyed. I was quite honestly on the verge of changing my number entirely.

Anyway, downloaded this app after a recommendation. It tells you if the call you don’t recognize is a scam or suspected scam, and offers you the chance to block all future calls from that number. You can also add numbers to the block list at any point, and it’s very easy.

After a week with this app, my unwanted calls dropped from about 10-20 per day to 3-5, and now – two months in- I’m down to on average 2-3 per week. SO much better!

Great blocking app… – So far so good with this app! Before I installed it about a week or so ago, I was getting a lot of Spam TEXT Messages every day so I’d write down the numbers to keep track of them. When I got the app, I immediately added all of those Spam numbers to the “Block List” and it has worked!! I have yet to have one of those “blocked” numbers come through.

I would suggest to the people that seem to be having a problem with this app to start writing down the numbers you consider are Spam, etc., then actually type them into the Blocked Number list in the app. It’s very easy to do and you don’t have to open up any of the messages to get the # they’re coming from. I think it gives the app a way to start out and search for the correct type of numbers to block. As I previously said, I have yet to have a one of them come through!

Great feature, broken Plus support – The app itself is a godsend. Being able to see and block spammers, telemarketers etc. integrated into both the phone display and at the network level itself is great.

However, the app is broken in one very significant and unacceptable way. Some of the features (e.g. auto-blocking telemarketers, as opposed to just spammers) are hidden behind a $3.99/mo. “Plus” subscription. We could argue over whether the extra charge is warranted, but that’s not what this review is about. No, the issue is that the subscription option DOES NOT WORK. I have paid for it, it appears in my iTunes billing, etc. but the relevant screens in the app still say “upgrade to Plus!” I was able to access the extra features once, when I first unlocked Plus, but in every subsequent app access they are hidden again as if I never upgraded. When I click “upgrade” from within the app, it says “you are already subscribed” but the relevant menu systems do not appear – it keeps advertising a service I already paid for.
