Please note that TruthFinder does not provide consumer reports and is not a consumer reporting agency. Also, you cannot use the platform to screen employees, domestic workers, tenants or people who provide professional services, including tutors or doctors.

Is TruthFinder Legit

TruthFinder is a legitimate company that is transparent about its data sources and services on offer. The webpage explains what TruthFinder can be used for, while also clarifying that it isn’t a consumer credit agency. This means you cannot use the information to make decisions about consumer credit, employees, insurance, tenant screening, or other purposes that would require FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) compliance.

Is TruthFinder Free?

No, TruthFinder is not free. Also, currently there isn’t a free version or free trial of TruthFinder.

When you run your first search, TruthFinder will ask you to sign up for a membership before it gives you the results. With a membership, you can run as many background checks as you’d like. Note that your membership will automatically renew when the membership period is up unless you cancel before then. TruthFinder charges about $28 per month for a membership. If you purchase a two-month membership, it’s $23 a month paid in a lump sum of $46. If you want to download a PDF of a background report, you’ll have to pay an extra $2.
