Moreover, Babbel seeks to empower users to start speaking in new tongues. So which is better, Babbel or Duolingo? Neither is better or worse in my opinion. Both have their pros and cons. However, if you are undecided for which one to go for, I suggest using Duolingo first to get your bearings and understand the complete basics of your chosen language. At least, Duolingo is free to start.
