Part 1: What is HypeSquad on Discord?

The Discord HypeSquad are members of the Discord community selected to rep the service online, and at events around the world. Consider Discord HypeSquad members as ambassadors for Discord.

Discord HypeSquad House

Long ago, a great evil spirit ravaged the land and almost brought an end to the world as we know it. At the moment, as if it was destined to happen, a mystical beam of light broke free from a young sage’s totem and three heroes emerged. With the combined efforts of Renwil the Brave, Urdim the Brilliant and Arame the Balanced, these heroes ended the reign of the evil spirit, and they soon faded into legends, surviving the test of time.

Therefore, Discord has 3 HypeSquad houses that you can be a part of, named Bravery, Brilliance, and Balance. Your house is chosen through a personality test.

Without Bravery, the houses would be overrun by the evil.
Without Brilliance, the houses would collapse from within.
Without Balance, the houses would fall into chaos.

Discord HypeSquad Tier

Not every member of Discord’s HypeSquad does the same thing. Essentially, there’s the Online Tier and the Event Tier.

HypeSquad Online: Represent all of your hype and show pride in your HypeSquad House online, via social media channels, content creation, and even Discord itself.

HypeSquad Event Attendee: As an attendee, you’ll get to hang with other members and attend offline conventions and events.

HypeSquad Event Coordinator: If you’re on top of your game and are in charge of getting a whole offline LAN, convention, or other video game-related event, you can be there.

Part 2: How to Apply for Discord Hypesquad Online?

Not already a member of the HypeSquad? You can take the test to determine which house you will be a part of. It’s simple,

Step 1: Head over to your Discord Client or Web Browser.

Step 2: Go to your User Settings, you should then see the “HypeSquad” tab.

Step 3: Take a quiz to determine your house and join the hype!

Not everyone can become a part of HypeSquad. It is an exclusive community, at least to an extent. To become an online member, you need to be at least 13-years-old.

To join the events tier, you need to be at least 16 and do gaming-related events, conventions, and gaming tournaments.

Part 3: The Benefits of Discord HypeSquad

Here are all the benefits of being in the HypeSquad.
